May was movement.

Three festivals. Three days. No full band — just K.O.G Soundsystem: myself, a DJ, live percussion, and vocals. Bare bones setup, full energy. No hiding, no over-layering. Just rhythm and response.

And that’s exactly how it should be.

22nd May — Shindig Festival

Shindig came in smooth but strong.

The DJ locked the groove early, percussion hit with intention, and the crowd caught it fast. No need to force anything — it was already moving. Once it clicked, it stayed locked. Proper dancefloor exchange.

Good energy. Clean start.

23rd May — Bearded Theory

Bearded Theory had weight.

This one wasn’t about quick wins — it was about holding the room. Percussion sat heavy, vocals came sharper, and the DJ pushed deeper textures. The crowd stayed with it, patient, locked in.

That’s the kind of attention you respect as an artist.

24th May — HowTheLightGetsIn

Different room entirely.

Here, less is more. The audience listens differently — so we adjusted. More space, more restraint, more intention. Every sound had to earn its place.

Not about hype. About presence.

After all three

Same setup. Three different worlds.

  • Shindig: flow

  • Bearded Theory: depth

  • HowTheLightGetsIn: focus

That’s the beauty of Soundsystem work — it doesn’t change what you are, it shows you how many ways you can be it.

No full band needed.Just rhythm, voice, and truth in real time.
